lpv:spoken text	"I strongly condemn the ongoing killings and violations of human rights and absolutely deplore the increasingly worse humanitarian situation in Burundi. I voted in favour of this motion for a resolution not only because it calls for an end to the violence and human rights abuses, but it is also greatly important that we seek to prevent a further deterioration of the situation. We need to encourage political and civil dialogue between the government and the opposition; political dialogues that bring in the wider civil society and ensure accountability for the violations that have been committed. I urge, along with my colleagues in this chamber, the Security Council to follow its resolution with concrete steps to stop these abuses to fundamental rights and prevent this conflict from escalating any further."@en1
