Therefore, I did not feel it appropriate to oppose this report. Nevertheless, some aspects of the report are concerning – particularly in respect of the EU’s role in foreign affairs, which I fundamentally disagree with. I therefore could not vote in favour of the report either. It made sense, therefore, to abstain on the resolution as a whole."@en1
