"The draft report stresses the need to support the base metal industry as it is particularly vulnerable to outside competition (dumping prices) and also to EU climate and energy policy. It also addresses the problem of heightened loss of competitiveness of several basic materials industries such as the steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals industries. The EU therefore needs to help building an efficient frame for these sectors in order to re-establish their economic potential."@en1
