Achieving the highest possible EU standards for the protection and welfare of animals and, in particular, ensuring that existing animal welfare legislation is fully implemented throughout the Member States, is something that I, and many constituents in Wales, feel very strongly about. I therefore welcome this resolution’s call for a new and ambitious strategy to be drawn up for the years 2016-2020, to ensure the continuation of a framework to deliver high animal welfare standards across the Member States."@en1
