lpv:spoken text	"Along with my Labour colleagues, I voted in favour of this report because it calls for the highest level of protection for health and safety in the workplace. In the UK alone, there were 142 work-related deaths in 2014. This is why we have called for a strategy to emphasise the importance of proper training. We need to tackle diseases and cancers caused by asbestos and other carcinogens by implementing appropriate screening measures. We have called for the Commission to pursue a policy of regulation in the area of occupational health and safety as well as adopting a targeted approach to precarious employment and the negative effects that this has on occupational health and safety. The health and safety of pregnant women and women who have recently returned to the workplace after giving birth must also be paramount."@en1
