lpv:spoken text	"This was a very important resolution despite it not being binding as it is an implementing act and not a delegated act. However, it was important to vote in favour of this resolution in order to signify to national governments the dangers of DEHP as these governments still have to decide on whether they accept the Commission’s draft decision to authorise DEHP. The proposal of the Commission to authorise DEHP in PVC plastic in spite of grave concerns regarding the impact of this chemical on human health is deeply worrying. DEHP has been shown in animal studies to damage the liver, kidneys, lungs and reproductive organs of males. This chemical is a phthalate which is a member of the family of ‘gender-bending’ chemicals."@en1
