ISA2 is the latest in a series of programmes that have been supporting the interconnection, digitisation and collaboration of public administrations since the 1990s. This agreement will ensure that ISA2 will be ready to kick in by the time the current ISA programme expires at the end of 2015. I welcome the introduction of new priorities such as greater involvement of citizens, additional data-protection safeguards and enhanced cooperation between Member States to overcome the digital divide and develop the creation of user communities and exchanges of good practice."@en1
