Would it not be better if these countries handed the money over themselves, or set up their own camps in Syria, rather than the European Union taking the money, which it will no doubt waste in the usual way it does? At the moment, the European Union has not been properly audited for the best part of 20 years. Let us leave it to the national governments to do it and keep the European Union’s sticky fingers out of it."@en1
