"I supported this report which endorsed an agreement reached between the European Parliament and national governments in the Council to replace the existing European Police College with an EU Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL). This agency will not affect the independence of each Member State’s national police force, but coordinate training particularly for cross-border crime. S&D MEPs pushed particularly for strong provisions for fundamental rights and data protection."@en1
