The right skills will be critical to meeting future challenges and safeguarding the security of our citizens. In order to counter the growing threat of transnational and organised crime, effective and smooth cross-border cooperation among all relevant national law-enforcement authorities is crucial. To foster and sustain this kind of cross-border cooperation and to enhance mutual trust, proper training of law-enforcement officers is paramount."@en1
