lpv:spoken text	"I, alongside my colleagues in the S&D group, voted in favour of this report. The report seeks to address the problems of the poor implementation of the European Citizens’ Initiative and the logistical and practical problems associated. The ECI could be a great tool to get citizens more involved in the democratic process, yet it has fallen short of this promise so far. With only three ECIs reaching the target for consideration by the Commission, it is clear that the ECI needs to be more user-friendly and that many of the obstacles need to be eliminated before it can become a useful instrument."@en1
