A revision to the legislation is therefore necessary to strengthen the rights of travellers in Europe and bring new booking models within the scope of the rules. This is a positive proposal for consumers and businesses. It will guarantee more effective rules on insolvency protection for travellers in cases of trader’s insolvency and well as stricter liability for traders in case of underperformance. Importantly, travellers will have the right to cancel the contract and get a refund if the price increases by more than 8% or if unavoidable events strike the place of destination."@en1
