"We are voting against this due to the fact that the EU is looking to mobilise EUR 16,274,765 for Bulgaria and Greece due to flooding that took place early in 2015. Public sector and infrastructure damage is at the centre of attention relating to the claim. Whereas, private sector damage is left to the insurance companies to deal with. There have been no reports made available relating to assessment or loss adjusters from both nations. We do not know what criteria has been met to make this claim or if the validity or reliability of this claim has been stretched and challenged by the EU. It is obvious that the existing infrastructure was not prepared to handle flooding and this opportunity could contribute towards the development of the infrastructure in certain places, however it is a small amount in comparison to what Bulgaria has claimed in terms of financial damage, which is estimated at EUR 239 million and as for Greece it is estimated at nearly EUR 400 million. UKIP voted against."@en1
