"I voted with the ALDE Group in favour of subjecting 25I-NBOMe, AH-7921, MDPV and methoxetamine to control measures. A risk assessment carried out by the Scientific Committee of the Lisbon-based European Monitoring Centre on Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) showed that these four substances do not provide any concrete medical benefits. These new substances are currently being used as alternatives to illicit drugs and have already been linked to numerous fatalities and intoxications across the EU."@en1
