"I voted in favour of this report in order to ensure the continuity of control measures across Member States on the new substances. Both the Commission and the European Council have highlighted the fact that the new substances have provoked a large amount of toxicity and therefore a large number of deaths. I support the stance of the Commission and the European Council regarding the danger surrounding these new substances and I therefore also believe in the strict necessity of control."@en1
