"I supported this report because it rightly argues that our policy on cultural heritage should take into account two main perspectives. Firstly, cultural heritage can act as a significant source of jobs and revenue. However, the main value of cultural heritage remains its cultural value. Beyond any economic potential of cultural heritage, we need to focus on highlighting the opportunities that the effective use of cultural heritage can have as an educational tool to deal with social problems."@en1
