"I supported this proposal to bring our regulation banning the sale of seal products into line with WTO rules. I am delighted that in its ruling the WTO made it clear that ‘the protection of public morality’ can be a legitimate reason for restricting trade. The mass slaughter of seals in Canada clearly does offend European public morality."@en1
