lpv:spoken text	"I welcome the Beres report on the review of the economic governance framework. The recent crisis in Greece demonstrates that it is high time we reform this framework. This report acknowledges the need to address the lack of investment and the long-lasting low inflation situation within the euro area, and to improve the current economic framework. Furthermore, it stresses the need to make better use of flexibility within the Stability and Growth Pact, insisting on the added value of flexibility to bridge the investment gap and ensure better implementation of the rules regarding growth. It further underlines that macroeconomic imbalances need to be tackled and the role of national parliaments and the European Parliament needs to be strengthened. Finally, I believe we should reinforce the Five Presidents Report on the future of the economic union in the coming months in order to make the economic governance structure in the euro area more effective."@en1
