lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, a while ago in committee, I asked the Director-General of OLAF, when he pointed out that there were now more fraud cases being opened: is it that you are getting better at detecting the fraud or is it that there is more fraud in the European Union? His answer was, in a moment of rare honesty in this place, quite telling. He said: I think it is a bit of both actually. But now we find that actually there are serious allegations that this Parliament has been misled over the figures and that the true figures could be completely wrong. We do not know what the true position is. The Scrutiny Committee has actually come up with a pretty damning report, it has to be said, of the way in which OLAF has conducted itself. So I think it is not just that there are big questions to answer within OLAF but wider questions actually about fraud and corruption within the whole European Union."@en1
