lpv:spoken text	"I strongly support the recommendation that the European Parliament give its consent to the conclusion of the Doha Amendment to the Kyoto Protocol. It is important that the amendment be formally entered into force, as the Kyoto agreement, and extension thereof through the Doha Amendment, plays a central role in the global approach to tackling climate change. Furthermore, I strongly support the calls for Member States and Iceland to ratify the amendment domestically by the third quarter of 2015 to send a strong united message from Europe ahead of the Paris COP21 Conference in December. While the ratification should be seen as Europe taking a leading role in tackling climate change, it should also be seen as encouragement for other countries to act similarly to pursue a global solution to climate change."@en1
