lpv:spoken text	"Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS Directive) restricts the use of cadmium in electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market in the EU. Cadmium is carcinogenic, and can also cause acute flu-like symptoms, bronchitis and pneumonia. The proposed delegated act will delay the restriction on cadmium for equipment where it is believed there is currently no safer alternative on the market. It proposes that the restriction on using cadmium in colour converting LEDs such as lamps be delayed until 30 June 2017, and for use in solid state illumination or display systems such as in televisions, until 30 June 2018. The ECR Group supports the objection resolution and believes that better regulation and innovation should be championed in this area."@en1
