lpv:spoken text	"I supported a number of amendments to this report, including Amendment 33 on the failed Castor project. This project, at a cost of EUR 1.35 billion to the taxpayer, was ill thought through, with risk assessments side-lined by the Spanish Government. The European Investment Bank did not carry out sufficient due diligence on the project and the result was a huge waste of taxpayers’ money. I also supported recitals B, which states that the economic and financial crisis, coupled with austerity policies, has seriously undermined economic growth in many Member States, and A, asserting that the EIB is an instrument designed to support social cohesion."@en1
