lpv:spoken text	"Madam President, in the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs yesterday we talked about the GBP 42 million of Commission pre—financing that is not being taken up by the UK Government and used in the UK and, on Monday, Labour MPs went to meet Commissioner Crețu and talk to her about the GBP 718 million of EU structural fund money that is not being taken up by the UK Government and used in the UK for the social and economic purposes for which it was intended. Earlier this afternoon in this Chamber we voted on measures under the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund, as we often do, providing billions of euros of assistance to get people back into work across the EU, but not in the UK, which has never made an application. The message to the Tory Government of the UK is clear: it is our people who are suffering the consequences of your obscurantist isolationism."@en1
