"Today I voted in support of the report on the European Central Bank for 2013. The ECB must present an annual report each year setting out the activities of the European System of Central Banks and monetary policy. The report highlights the message that monetary policy alone is reaching its limits and that we need the correct combination of fiscal consolidation, structural reforms and public and private investments. A clearer mandate as lender of last resort is needed."@en1
