In actual fact, while Amendment 20 did give powers back, it was cancelled out by the other 50 amendments which maintained and re-asserted EU control and authority over the whole procedure. The EU did not allow MEPs to vote on individual amendments – something which UKIP MEPs regard as undemocratic. It is also of clear relevance to UK voters understanding of the implications involved. Therefore, my fellow UKIP MEPs and I could not support this bloc vote."@en1
