"I voted for this agreement. This access agreement is strategically important in view of the migratory nature of the tuna resource. It also responds to a request from the Republic of the Seychelles for reciprocity in the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement (SFPA), with an agreement that enables Seychelles vessel owners to fish in European waters. This agreement will help to maintain the privileged relations between the European Union and the Republic of the Seychelles."@en1
