The Large Combustion Plant Directive has forced the closure of the plants in the UK that provide us with a third of our energy. All of this was done while Ed Miliband was Secretary of State at the Department of Energy and Climate Change. My residents in Thurrock need to ask Mr Miliband and his candidate in Thurrock, who worked for him at the time, why they did nothing to save those jobs. Together you have cost jobs in my community. The days of Labour looking out for working people in my constituency and my country are long gone. You have forgotten about communities like Tilbury and the people of Thurrock. In May you will be judged by your actions, because UKIP is standing up for working people in the United Kingdom."@en1
