"Mr Dance, can I take this opportunity to thank you – I assume you are a new Member as I have not met you before – for your contribution tonight. It has been very useful. Can you also accept from me that the people of Northern Ireland are terribly and deeply grateful for all the help and support that Members of this House has given. They have never taken sides in the debate in Northern Ireland and that is what is so specific about the strength of this House. And yes, Mr Brok, you are right – Mr Nuttall is not here – I would not be convinced that the British Government would send that money to Northern Ireland. So I will wait to see what happens. Can I put some facts straight? I would like to pay tribute here tonight to Jacques Delors and to Dr Monika Wulf-Mathies, who was the first Commissioner for Regional Affairs who actually took this peace process forward and she contributed a great deal to that as well."@en1
