lpv:spoken text	"Amendment 8: This amendment called for the release of over 7 000 prisoners - how are we supposed to know the nature of the offences committed? The large number of prisoners to be released would result in such individuals continuing their violent activities. Given the delicate ceasefire in Israel and Gaza, as well as the wider region, this would be an unnecessary risk. Amendment 13 The EU has a long running hypocrisy in its policies related to produce on land controlled by other countries. Whilst this amendment called for produce on ‘occupied’ land in Israel to be banned from European markets, the EU continues to ignore produce imported into the market by Morocco, but originating in the territory it occupies in Western Sahara. Amendment 16 This amendment called for an end to EU funds under the Horizon 2020 programme in Israel. Whilst I do not necessarily support punitive measures against Israel at a time when diplomacy is vital, I do not believe UK taxpayers’ money should be going to Israel or any other country for that matter under Horizon 2020."@en1
