I have enjoyed watching it, as I always do when other Members speak about how they have not got enough money for all the projects that they are trying to do. As someone from the UK, which is a net contributor to this, I would ask you all to consider, when you think about taking more money from us, how people in my country are having to use food banks, how the NHS is struggling, and how people are being thrown out of their council homes. Everybody in the UK has had to tighten their belts. Food banks in the United Kingdom in the 21st century! This is madness, so I ask you: when you make your decisions about your spending programmes and you look for more money, think about the people whose pockets are being picked to fund all this – the people in the United Kingdom who are struggling just like everyone else. Please tighten your belts."@en1
