lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of the Plant Breeding Report. I was particularly pleased that the amendments I tabled which addressed the issue of Community plant variety rights were included in the final version of the report. It takes significantly longer to identify, trial and generate commercial stock of raspberry varieties than other crops such as barley, for example. This is a particularly important issue for Scottish plant breeders and the amendments I had tabled will go some way to reducing costs for the production of clonally propagated crops such as raspberries."@en1
