lpv:spoken text	"Madam President, I supported this report because, like the previous report, it will foster innovation and economic growth by streamlining registration systems. This matters hugely to business because it does guarantee greater speed and greater predictability. Outdated provisions in the current Directive have been eliminated and a level of legal certainty has also been introduced by clarifying trademark rights in terms of their scope and their limitations. We will also achieve greater approximation of national trademark laws and various procedures, and they will be more consistent with the Community trademark system. This in itself will facilitate cooperation between national offices of Member States and the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market. This will further facilitate convergence of practices and the development of common tools for putting a legal basis for this cooperation in place."@en1
