lpv:spoken text	"The inland waterway transport sector in the EU provides an environment-friendly alternative to road and rail. With over 37 000 km of inland waterways in Europe, the sector is vital for transporting goods between towns and cities and it helps to keep both noise and gas emissions down. I welcome an action programme to support this sector and I hope that future spending from the Connecting Europe Fund, the Cohesion Fund and Horizon 2020 will be used effectively to expand the network across Europe, to improve innovation in the sector and to enhance the environmental aspects of inland waterway transport."@en1
