lpv:spoken text	"Today I was pleased to vote in favour of the Arms Trade Treaty, which is a UN agreement on regulating the trade in conventional weapons. This is the first global agreement on conventional weapons and represents ten years of negotiations between governments and NGOs. I welcome the increased calls for transparency in the trade in arms and the requirement for governments to evaluate any proposed arms trade for the likelihood that the weapons will be involved in genocide or terrorism. This treaty is a positive move for the protection of human rights and the enhancement of global security. I hope that this agreement will achieve the 50 signatories required from states for ratification."@en1
