lpv:spoken text	"I welcome the resolution on behalf of the Socialists and Democrats Group, which highlights the importance of developing and deepening economic and trade links between the EU and Russia. I support the remarks in the resolution regarding the protection of human rights and democratic principles and am concerned about the anti-LGBTI legislation that has been introduced. I echo calls for the Member States to increase their support for defenders of human rights in Russia and welcome EU action in this area. Furthermore, I support calls in the resolution to improve dialogue on issues of foreign policy, specifically the strengthening of joint cooperation for Syria and Iran. Finally, I recognise the importance attached to encouraging mobility for students, teachers and researchers in order to build further partnerships between the EU and Russia."@en1
