The inclusion of the suggestion for a stronger ‘yellow card’ procedure for national parliaments as well as the rejection of amendments concerning workers’ information and consultation rights, consumer rights and environmental concerns meant that I could not support this report. I believe that while EU laws must be clear and easily understood, reducing the regulatory burden should not undermine environmental, consumer and social rights in existing EU legislation."@en1
