lpv:spoken text	"Part of this report is dedicated to the procedure on the appointment of the Court of Auditors’ members and consultation with Parliament. It is stressed that some appointments to the Court have given rise to differences between Parliament and the Council, and it is considered unacceptable that the Council appoints members to the Court of Auditors despite Parliament’s unfavourable opinion. Here, I support the current application of Article 286 TFEU, whereby the Council has the right to adopt candidates for the Court of Auditors after consulting the European Parliament. I defend the Council’s right to override a negative opinion by the European Parliament. Consequently I voted against this report."@en1
