Of course, like yourself, I would have liked to have had the opportunity of visiting Sri Lanka but I was denied visas repeatedly by the Sri Lankan Government because of my criticisms of the oppression of the Tamils. I cannot give you precise figures in terms of the numbers of Tamils and where they live. In the north and the north-east, obviously, but also yes, there are lots of Tamils in Colombo, but there they also suffer discrimination. The point that I have always made is that I stand for a united struggle of Sinhala- and Tamil-speaking people, to fight for justice in Sri Lanka."@en1
