However, I do object to the exclusive right given to the Commission in Amendment 22 as regards negotiations of agreements with third countries on AEOI on behalf of the EU. This prohibits Member States from concluding any such agreements bilaterally with third countries in the area of taxation, which is not an exclusive competence of the EU."@en1
