"The detention of Előd Tóásó and Mario Tadić by the Bolivian authorities must be treated as an issue of serious concern for the EU. Since 2009, Tóásó and Tadić have remained in custody without trial in Bolivia, and to this day much of the information regarding the circumstances of their detention has yet to be made known. On the same day, and on the scene where Előd Tóásó and Mario Tadić were taken into custody, Irish man Michael Dwyer was killed by Bolivian police special forces. In the case of Michael Dwyer, there has been no comprehensive investigation into his killing and no comprehensive police reports have been made available to his family or external authorities. It still remains unclear who killed Michael Dwyer and who provided the authorisation for his killing. Along with the other 12 Irish MEPs, I have sent letters to High Representative Ashton and Tánaiste Gilmore asking both of them to bring additional pressure to bear on the Bolivian authorities to demonstrate their commitment to due process and justice, and to produce full information into the circumstances of the killing of Michael Dwyer and the detention of Előd Tóásó and Mario Tadić."@en1
