lpv:spoken text	"I was happy to support this report, it is crucial that women are involved at all levels of decision-making, political, social and economic. Evidence shows that gender-balanced boards perform better than those which are not gender-balanced. Gender balance has not happened without intervention and in those Member States where there has been intervention, it has worked well. This proposal is for large listed companies only and will not involve a disproportionate burden on SMEs; time-limited measures such as quotas are an effective mechanism to ensure balance in decision-making."@en1
