It is high time for the EU to show firm commitment towards its Eastern Partners. However, the report mentions that the unsatisfactory progress made by some Eastern Partners is caused by a failure by the EU to show its Eastern Partners a sufficiently motivating European perspective. I would put it more bluntly and say that the unsatisfactory progress is linked to the lack of a clear membership perspective. We have shied away from this issue long enough. I believe it merits discussion after Vilnius."@en1
