lpv:translated text	"This report is focused on the importance and usefulness of pooling, mapping and disseminating fisheries data within the wider ‘Marine Knowledge 2020’ initiative, with particular reference to the following key points: information sources and types of data; how to achieve data availability; how to compile and pool data effectively; and how to benefit from the processing and interpretation of data. I agree with the rapporteurʼs line and call for the identification and establishment of fish recovery areas and marine protected areas in order to ensure vulnerable marine ecosystems are protected. I have confidence in the importance of the precautionary approach and the need to have aggregated data publicly available. I am in favour."@en1
