I think we all know that the blue economy is awaiting us for development and will in particular provide great answers and solutions in terms of developing Europe – jobs, growth, economy, etc. I drafted an opinion for my committee on blue growth, and I am certainly aware of the potential, but obviously collecting information and having it all there – particularly a proper seabed map – is vital. I compliment the Commission and the rapporteur on this initiative, because, based on that, you can then go forward with very accurate projects which, as others said, will protect, in particular, spawning grounds, etc., but will also tap into the huge potential that is there in the sea.
