lpv:spoken text	"Madam President, in the one minute available to me, I would like, as chairman of the delegation with responsibility for the EEA, to express our thanks to the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection for raising this important topic. On the EEA, we believe that the EEA review needs to take into account the development of the single market, notably in relation to the transposition, implementation and monitoring of single market legislation. As the Commissioner said, 20 years have gone by and it is a different world. In relation to Andorra, Monaco and San Marino, we recently held an exchange of views with their ambassadors. I understand that the discussions between these countries and the EU are still ongoing and that the EEA framework is an important reference point for talks. I am pleased to hear that the Commission has adopted a communication, and we look forward to the report on Switzerland. We have had an excellent dialogue with the European External Action Service. It appears to me that the EEAS, the Council and Parliament are in agreement on the broad aims and principles. In conclusion, I believe that the new institutional framework should also contain an interparliamentary pillar that would allow this Parliament to make a positive contribution."@en1
