lpv:spoken text	"The rules and regulations governing safety in civil aviation are of paramount importance to us all and it is right that any proposals to revise them generate full debate and proper scrutiny of the arguments for and against, as has been the case with this revised proposal on Flight and Duty Time Limitation, brought forward by the European Commission. I feel that the Commission’s proposal does take appropriate steps to address issues relating to fatigue and to ensure high safety standards, in line with those which we already have outlined in UK regulations. For this reason I voted against the resolution calling for a rejection of the Commission’s proposal today."@en1
