"Mr President, I strongly condemn the use of chemical weapons, whoever was responsible.
Without doubt, however, bombs will not bring peace to Syria. An attack will only serve to inflame the whole region. The EU should reinstate the arms embargo in Syria. The Syrians have a right to peace, democracy and human rights. The only way to stop conflict is through peace talks and a peace process. Making peace is more difficult and more important than fighting a war. I know that to be a fact.
International leaders need to work to secure a ceasefire and bring all sides in this civil war to the table. Meaningful dialogue involving all sections of the Syrian people must be established to address all of the grave issues currently facing the citizens of Syria."@en1
