"Mr President, it is important, as many people will agree, that we tackle some of these issues of cybersecurity. We see that companies are often under attack from hackers and others who want to deny service to their websites, and there are other issues of a similar kind. But how do we tackle these problems? Yes, we can come up with wonderful resolutions and motions for resolutions about cybersecurity, but actually we have to make sure that two things happen. At the very highest level there must be international cooperation so that we deal with the countries hosting many of these hackers who attack websites elsewhere. And at the other end, we must ensure that there is more awareness among the public. I was told a story by a government minister in the UK who had a seminar on cybersecurity and who noticed when they put the screen up that it said their anti-virus software was out of date and needed to be updated. That was a very simple step they could have taken to tackle this problem."@en1
