I am pleased to see that target shares for renewable energy of 20% of overall EU energy consumption have been put in place. In line with the concerns of my constituents, I am pleased to see the proposal of a limit on biofuels produced from food crops. I agree that incentives should be provided to stimulate the use of electricity from renewable sources in the transport sector, and also believe that energy efficiency and energy saving measures in the transport sector should be encouraged."@en1
