lpv:spoken text	"I support calls for the need to better align research and innovation with EU transport policy. Technology has a huge role to play in helping transport improve its economic, environmental and social objectives. I believe there is no end to the possibilities technology can give us to improve and transform the transport world. I am of the opinion that there should be a more efficient and coherent use of R&I resources, and I encourage the exploitation of transport research by Member States, which should encourage market uptake and deployment. I hope to see a significant reduction in accidents, noise, energy consumption, gas emissions and climate impact because of EU initiatives such as those in the INI report."@en1
